Before reading "Mindset" I had a very vague understanding of what it meant. At first I thought it was a sort of self-help book that was very enclosed to education. I have now realized how important it is to every aspect of our life. I have always considered myself a disorganized person, one of the things I really need to work on. After reading "Mindset" I came with a list of goals I want to achieve during this year, outside and inside school, and I think that with the right mindset and a good organized plan, there is nothing stopping me from achieving what I want. Obviously results won't come from one day to another, but through mistakes and failure, I will learn and improve. I think that some of the things that Carol Dweck talks about in the books relates to the "Fail Fast, Fail Better" unit that we did last year in DT. basically failure is important for success. I think that the growth mindset is not scared of failure, since it helps us see whats wrong and learn how to improve. Constant self reflection and a keenness to learn will lead towards success. I think that with what I have learned through reading this book I can apply to my life and find ways to improve all my skills.
